Consistent Determination and Strategic Finish Aisha Hill, representing Cypress, CA, and racing with Black Girls Run, completed the 2026 Surf City 10 with a total time of 1:18:52, maintaining a steady pace of 12:43 min/mile over the 10K distance. A notable performance was seen in the fourth mile with a swift split of 7:55, significantly improving from the third mile's 20:25 split time. Moreover, Aisha climbed in ranking throughout the race, securing a final placement of 60th in the Male 45-49 division. Additionally, Aisha managed to consistently outperform his overall placement from the beginning, climbing from 1,529 overall at the first mile to completing the race 1642nd out of 2,818 participants. Decreasing his split time between the 3rd and 4th miles shows strategic pacing and energy management. Focusing on maintaining this consistency throughout future races will enhance performance further.
