Strong Start, Solid Finish Misha Wilcockson began the "2026 Surf City 10" 5K with a fast 5:44 minute mile, earning him 15th place in his gender and 3rd in his age division. His second mile was nearly as impressive, with a split pace of 5:57, moving him up to the leading position in his age division. This strategic pacing shows a competitive edge in the early stages of the race. The final mile, however, saw a significant slowing with a split time of 1:00:43. While his pace decreased, Misha finished the race with an overall time of 1:14:17. Out of 2148 participants, he placed 1696th. Despite the third mile's drop in speed, Misha maintained a notable top 3 age division placement early on. The ability to start strong is evident, and fine-tuning the last phases could enhance future performances. Great work on showcasing speed and determination!
