Strong Start with Consistent Effort Over 10 Miles As a member of Ainsley's Angels, Nathan Carrillo embarked on the 2026 Surf City 10 miler from Carlsbad, CA. At just 10 years old, Nathan showed exceptional promise as he excelled early on, dominating the first mile with an impressive 5:02 pace, securing a top position in his division. His overall pace of 8:22 min/mile highlights his endurance and determination across the race. Throughout the race, Nathan demonstrated consistency in his pacing, maintaining strong division placements. Notably, he placed 3rd within the M 14 & Under division through the majority of the splits, before finishing 4th. His ability to adapt to the distance and manage his energy over the 10 miles was evident, as he completed the race with a time of 1:23:42.
