Consistent Pace Drives Strong Finish in Surf City Mark Lai showcased a well-paced performance at the 2026 Surf City 10 event. Representing Irvine, CA, and running with the EXCEED THE LIMIT Run Club, he participated in the 5K segment. His pacing was consistent, starting with a 12:07 min/mile pace for the first mile, slightly adjusting to 12:36 min/mile for the second, and finishing strongly with a 12:10 min/mile pace on the third mile. Throughout these stages, Mark remained competitive, especially within his M 50-54 division, where he hovered around the 14th to 16th spot.
