Steady Pacing and Strong Finish at the 5K Ivy Chen showcased a consistent performance during the 2026 Surf City 10 event. Racing a 5K distance with an overall elapsed time of 38:12, Ivy maintained an impressive average pace of 12:19 minutes per mile. Each split demonstrated consistent pacing, with the third mile completing at a swift pace of 12:16 minutes per mile, marking Ivy's fastest mile. A member of the EXCEED THE LIMIT Run Club, Ivy navigated through the field effectively. Starting strong with a first-mile split of 12:04, she progressed to rank 46th in her division (F 40-44) out of numerous participants. Despite the placement drop in the third mile, its notable how well she maintained her endurance and finishes with a positive note. Focusing on stronger finishes could help enhance her overall standing. Overall, Ivy delivered a performance to be proud of, representing her run club and city with vigor!
