Consistent Pace and Strong Finish Jorge Banuelos from Riverside, CA, ran a commendable race at the 2026 Surf City 10, completing the 5K in 31:47. Demonstrating a consistent effort, Jorge started with a firm 9:53 min/mile pace and maintained an overall pace of 10:15 min/mile. Throughout the race, minor variances in splits were observed as he clocked a time of 9:53 for the first mile, 10:15 for the second, and 10:37 for the third. Jorge ranked an impressive 46th in the Male 30-34 division and finished 268th in gender ranking out of a total of 2148 participants. While his third mile showed a slight increase in time, Jorge's ability to maintain an even pace overall was noteworthy. As a part of KKW Strong, his performance demonstrated strong technique and control. Focusing on increasing speed in the second half of the race could result in an even faster finish in future events.
