Steady Improvement and Strong Finish in Surf City 10K Adilene Weber, representing the Fit4Mom Corona Run Club, demonstrated a commendable performance at the 2026 Surf City 10K. Starting with a steady pace of 11:42 min/mile, Adilene gradually picked up momentum in the first two miles, improving her pace to 11:37 min/mile by mile two. Although there was a noticeable increase in split pace to 19:09 min/mile at mile three, she quickly rebounded in the following mile with a remarkable split pace of 7:07 min/mile, her fastest of the race, which is certainly notable. Adilene maintained consistent pacing in the latter part of the race, completing the 10K in a total time of 1:14:35 with an average pace of 12:01 min/mile. Finishing 121st in the F 35-39 division among 2818 participants, her ability to regain her pace after the third-mile split shows resilience and determination, especially as she deployed a negative split strategy to complete strong.
