Consistent Pace Leads to Strong Finish Chen Wu showcased a commendable performance in the 2026 Surf City 10 5K, finishing with an overall time of 31:24 and an average pace of 10:07 min/mile. His splits show consistent efforts, starting with a 9:48 min/mile pace for the first mile, which is quite impressive. The second mile saw a slight increase to a 10:16 min/mile pace, but he maintained composure to close out the third mile at 10:18 min/mile. This level of consistency is a great foundation. While Chen finished 395th overall out of 2148 participants, his performance in the 30-34 Male Division was noteworthy. Starting strong, Chen managed to move from 37th place in his division after the first mile to 43rd at the finish. Participating as a part of "KKW Strong," this addition to the team was a positive contribution. Maintaining pace and managing energy is key to a future improved position.
