Steady Progression and a Strong Finish Karine Parry showcased an impressive performance at the 2026 Surf City 10, finishing the 10-mile course with a personal time of 1:20:12. Maintaining a steady pace throughout with each mile falling in the 8-minute range, Karine progressively improved her positions. Starting from the 171st in her gender, she closed the gap to finish 103rd overall among women and 17th in her division (F 40-44), beating a large field of 4391 participants. Her splits reveal a consistent enhancement in pace, with remarkable improvements in the latter half of the race. Notably, her mile splits accelerated from 8:16 at the start to a swift 7:36 in the final stretch. Running for the South Coast Roadrunners, this performance was highlighted by effective pacing and a strategic push towards the end, showcasing both endurance and speed.
