Consistent Progression and Strong Finish Nicole Mendoza showed impressive consistency and progression at the 2026 Surf City 10, completing the 10-mile race with a final time of 1:44:46. Starting with a pace of 11:21 min/mile, she not only maintained her stamina but picked up speed, achieving a remarkable final mile at 9:56 min/mile. Her performance in the Female 25-29 Division was noteworthy, climbing from 145th place in her division at the 1-mile mark to finishing in 88th place. She outpaced many, securing a place overall position of 1789 out of 4391 participants. Throughout the race, Nicole's pacing strategy shone, reflecting improvement as she continually pushed her pace under 11 minutes per mile after the second mile.
