Consistent Effort and Steady Progress Laurie maintained consistent pacing throughout the "2026 Surf City 10," completing the 10-mile race in 2:00:31. Laurie set a steady pace at 11:37 min/mile for the first two miles, sticking closely to her race strategy. Her impressive consistency saw only slight variances in pace, with her fastest split at mile 2 (11:36 min/mile) and her slowest at mile 6 (12:38 min/mile). Laurie's strong performance placed her 68th in her division (F 50-54) and 1162nd among the female participants. She demonstrated an admirable ability to maintain her position, improving significantly from an initial division place of 80 to 56th at mile 8. The varied pacing, especially the faster split at mile 8, is indicative of her strategic race management. "Sparkle Squad" can certainly be proud of her performance at this event!
