Consistent Pacing and Strong initial Gains Justino Faaola demonstrated consistent pacing throughout the Surf City 10 race with impressive progress in the initial segments. Starting with a strong pace of 10:23 min/mile in the first mile, his performance saw a noticeable improvement in the second mile, hitting a 10:06 min/mile pace. Notably, his position in the Male 30-34 division advanced from 100th to 78th within the first three miles, showcasing a keen ability to find his rhythm early on. In the latter half of the race, Justino maintained persistence despite a slight increase in split times. Finishing the 10K with an average pace of 10:49 min/mile, Justino completed the course in 1:07:06. Though the second half saw a marginal decline, his effort was commendable for maintaining standing amidst a field of 2818 participants representing the Claremont, CA team, "Chafing Our Dreams."
