Steady Progression and Strong Finish Anthony Chavez, representing BS Run Club, participated in the 2026 Surf City 10, finishing the 10-mile course in an impressive time of 1:13:38. Anthony's performance was particularly notable in the latter stages, where he displayed a consistent improvement in pace. His splits show a solid progression, starting with a 7:31 min/mile and concluding with an outstanding final mile of 6:09 min/milehis fastest of the race. Throughout the race, Anthony managed to consistently improve his standing, climbing from a placement of 374th overall after the first mile to 267th overall by the end. Notably, his final two miles were especially strong, with an increased speed that helped him advance significantly in both overall and gender standings. His accomplishment as the 50th finisher in his division (M 25-29) amidst a large field of participants speaks to his competitive spirit. Keep up the great work, Anthony!
