Powerful Bike Leg Fuels Another Podium-Contending Olympic Finish Lauren turned in a strong overall performance, finishing 3rd in her 30-34 division and 17th among all women. Her bike leg was the standout segment, covering the course at roughly 18.4 mph and moving her up into the top 15 overall at the bike dismount. Transitions were sharp as well, with a swift T1 that ranked 1st in her age group. The run proved tougher today, with pacing gradually easing from the mid-8:00s per mile early on to just over 9:00/mile by the final miles before a strong closing kick. Compared to her four previous Spudman finishes, this result was her slowest overall, though her division placement remained competitive, matching her 2023 result. Building more consistent run pacing in the second half could help her recapture the sub-2:30 finishes she's posted in three of the last four years.
