Bike Power and Run Strength Fuel a Gutsy Comeback Brack Mulliner returned to Spudman's Olympic distance and turned in a determined performance, finishing in 2:44:20 to place 224th overall and 32nd in the competitive 35-39 age groupmatching his division rank from 2024 despite a slower overall time. His bike leg was the standout of the day, covering the course at roughly 30 mph, a blazing pace that vaulted him from deep in the pack after the swim into solid contention by T2. The swim proved to be the toughest leg relative to the field, with Brack exiting well back in the standings. However, he used the bike and a strong 5:47/mile run pace to methodically climb through the field, moving up hundreds of positions by the finish. This bike-run combination shows real strengthcontinued focus on swim efficiency could unlock an even faster overall time and higher finish in future races.
