Strong Mid-Ride Surge Powers a Steady Endurance Day Abbie Kondel completed the Olympic-distance course in 3:30:24, moving through the water in 25:58 before a 5:28 transition onto the bike. Her 1:30:26 ride averaged roughly 16.2 mph, with a standout mid-course stretch where she hit nearly 17.3 mph her fastest sustained effort of the day. A quick 2:38 turnaround led into a 1:25:56 run, holding close to a 13:50-per-mile pace across the 10K to close out the race. Compared to her 2024 (3:07:28) and 2025 (3:01:38) Spudman finishes, this year's time marks a step back from her recent form. The bike remains a clear strength, especially those mid-ride surges, and there's good opportunity to bring the run split closer to the pace she's shown in prior years to build toward a more complete performance.
