A Solid Bike Leg Anchors a Determined Olympic Finish Eric Hall completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 3:40:15, finishing 1135th overall and 846th among men. His swim came in at 19:56, followed by a quick 4:25 transition into the bike course. Eric's cycling leg stood out, covering the bike course at an average speed of roughly 15.7 mph over 1:33:19. A snappy 1:53 second transition led into the run, where he closed out the race in 1:40:43. Compared to his 2025 Spudman performance, where he finished in 3:19:29, Eric's 2026 time was about 21 minutes slower. The bulk of that difference came on the run leg, where his pace eased notably in the second half. With his bike split showing strong, consistent power, Eric may find gains by targeting run endurance and pacing strategy in training, aiming to close the gap between his cycling and running performances next season.
