Consistent Pacing Fuels a Strong Finish Sarah Dayley completed the 2026 Spudman Sprint Triathlon in 2:49:15, placing 431st overall out of 570 finishers and 64th in her 30-39 age group. Her swim was efficient, and she moved through T1 in just over six minutes to start the bike strongclimbing as high as 171st overall by the midpoint of the ride. That position slipped by the bike's end, suggesting an opportunity to work on maintaining power output deeper into the bike leg for a stronger transition into the run. Her run splits told a different story: mile paces held steady in the low 20s from start to finish, a sign of disciplined pacing even as fatigue set in late in the race. Compared to her 2023 Spudman finish of 2:47:35, this year's time was just 1:40 sloweran impressive display of consistency across three years and a notably larger, more competitive field (570 vs. 408 participants).
