Strong Bike Split Powers Solid Sprint Finish Skyler Carnahan turned in a well-rounded sprint triathlon performance, highlighted by a standout bike leg. Covering the bike course at an average of roughly 15.5 mph, he climbed into the top 50 overall by the second bike checkpoint, a clear sign of strong cycling fitness. His swim and transitions were steady and efficient, keeping him well-positioned entering the bike course before he made his biggest move on two wheels. The run proved a bit more of a challenge, with his pace settling into the mid-9:00s per mile as he held position in the field. Overall, Carnahan finished 84th out of 570 athletes and 15th in his competitive division, a result built largely on the strength of his cycling. Sharpening run consistency off the bike could be a productive focus for future races, as it stands as the clearest opportunity to convert his bike gains into an even stronger overall finish.
