Steady Effort Anchored by a Strong Bike Leg Catharine Bradford turned in a well-rounded Olympic-distance performance, highlighted by a bike leg that averaged roughly 15.2 mph over rolling terraina strong showing that moved her into the top half of the field during that segment. Her swim was solid and set up a smooth transition into the ride, where she maintained consistent splits throughout, even picking up speed in the later miles. The run proved to be the toughest part of the day, with pacing gradually slowing over the final miles.
