Elite Bike Speed Highlights a Season of Mixed Results Karrie Kondel turned heads with an outstanding bike leg at the 2026 Spudman Sprint Triathlon, averaging nearly 26 mph over the 13.17-mile course. That effort was the fastest bike split in the entire field, earning her 1st place overall, 1st among women, and 1st in her 50-59 age division for that segmenta clear highlight of her race. The run stretch proved tougher, with mile paces settling into the 14-15 minute range, contributing to a total finish time of 2:18:23. This was slower than her 2025 Spudman finish of 1:51:38, and she placed 362nd overall and 16th in her division, compared to 7th last year. With such elite cycling speed already in hand, sharpening run endurance could help Karrie translate that bike strength into an even faster overall finish next season.
