Steady Bike Split Anchors a Solid Olympic Finish Jackson VanDenBerghe completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 3:42:14, finishing 866th among men and 1,171st overall out of 1,987 finishers. His swim came in at 24:46, followed by a strong bike leg where he averaged roughly 13.7 mph over the course, and closed with a 1:24:18 run split. Transitions were crisp, with a 4:06 T1 and a quick 2:32 T2, helping keep momentum between disciplines. Jackson's race showed some interesting shifts in position he climbed as high as 341st overall midway through the bike leg before settling into a more moderate pace over the back half, ultimately finishing the bike in 89th within his division. The run showed a similar pattern, starting strong before tapering pace over the final miles. Building more consistent pacing on both the bike and run could help him hold onto those early gains through the finish line in future races.
