Powerful Bike Leg Fuels Strong Olympic Finish Taylor Olsen turned in a well-rounded Olympic distance performance at Spudman, highlighted by a standout bike leg. Averaging roughly 17.3 mph over the course, Taylor moved up significantly in the field during this segment, climbing into the top 350 overall by the bike dismount. The swim was steady, and a brief 4:49 transition into the bike didn't slow the momentum. The run settled into a consistent rhythm, holding mile splits in the 10:1010:45 range for most of the 6.2-mile course, a solid effort after the bike's strong pace. Taylor crossed the line in 3:01:27, placing 65th in the 30-34 age group. With the bike split clearly a strength, continued focus on maintaining run speed off the bike could help close the gap to the top division finishers in future races.
