Bike Power Carries a Resilient Olympic Finish Windi Jones turned in her third Spudman Olympic finish, and the bike leg was clearly her strongest segmentcovering the course at roughly 16.4 mph and climbing to 8th in her 50-54 division on that split alone, a jump from her mid-pack swim placement of 13th. The swim was steady, but it was the bike where she made up real ground, moving from 1157th overall to 842nd by the dismount. The run told a tougher story. After a strong start near mile 26, her pace slowed considerably in the closing miles, dropping to the 15-minute range before a final surge in the last stretch. This softened her overall time to 3:38:10, a bit off her 2025 mark of 3:29:56. Building run durability off the bike could help her convert that strong cycling fitness into an even faster finish next time out.
