Strong Swim Start Fuels a Fading Finish Elizajane opened with a swift 19:07 swim, good for 13th among all women and 2nd in her 25-29 age group exiting the water. She carried that momentum into the bike, where her pace accelerated notably as the ride progressedearly splits near 4:01/mile (about 15 mph) gave way to a much quicker 3:213:29/mile pace (roughly 1718 mph) over the back half, showing strong power and confidence building through the 24-mile bike leg. A brisk 3:21 T1 and a snappy 1:04 T2 kept transitions efficient throughout. The run told a different story, with pace steadily climbing from 10:20/mile early on to 13:47/mile by the final milea clear positive split that cost some overall placing (647th of 1,987 finishers). Building run durability off the bike could help her convert that strong swim-bike foundation into a more even-paced 10K finish next time.
