Bike Strength and a Standout Run Segment Highlight Steady Pacing Janet Schetselaar turned in a well-rounded sprint-distance performance, finishing 4th in her competitive 60-69 division. Her bike leg was a clear strength, holding a strong pace that averaged around 14.4 mph over the 12.45-mile ride including a standout mile-12 split clocked at roughly 18 mph, the fastest stretch of her race. That effort moved her into the top 100 overall at one point on the bike course. On the run, Janet showed great range: her third running segment was the fastest in her entire age division for that split, a real highlight of the day. Pacing evened out over the remaining miles, and she closed strong with a brisk final push to the finish line. With a swim, solid transitions, and a run that included a divisional best split, this was a well-executed, balanced race from start to finish.
