A Challenging Return to the Course Emma opened with a steady 26:31 swim before a brisk 7:08 T1 got her onto the bike quickly. The 24-mile ride took 2:32:00, averaging roughly 9.6 mph a pace well below what her overall race history suggests shes capable of, and it set the tone for a longer day than usual. The 10K run followed in 1:57:40, closing out a total time of 5:14:36. Thats over 90 minutes slower than her 2022 (3:41:51) and 2025 (3:39:52) Spudman finishes, both of which came with much stronger bike and run splits. This race stands out as an outlier compared to her past performances here, and revisiting bike endurance and run pacing in training could help her get back closer to those previous results next time out.
