Bike Strength Powers a Steady Olympic-Distance Effort Hailey Andrew turned in a well-rounded Olympic-distance performance at Spudman, highlighted by a strong ride that averaged roughly 16.4 mph and moved her from 41st to as high as 16th in her 30-34 division by the end of the bike course. That surge on two wheels was the clear highlight of her day, showing solid power and consistency across the full 24-plus mile ride. The run leg proved tougher, as her overall position gradually settled back to 25th in her division and 190th among female finishers by the finish line. Coming off a strong bike split, tightening up her transition-to-run rhythm and finding a bit more consistency in the closing miles could help her hold onto those hard-earned bike gains in future races. Overall, a solid swim and standout bike set the tone for a well-executed day at Spudman.
