Strong Swim Leg Sets the Tone for a Solid Olympic-Distance Finish Drew Kofford turned in a standout swim at the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon, exiting the water in 16:21 good for 13th overall and 11th among male athletes, a clear highlight of his race. He carried solid momentum onto the bike, averaging close to 18.9 mph over the course, which moved him into the 250s overall by the bike dismount. Transition 1 ran long at just over 10 minutes, an area worth tightening up to preserve the gains made in the water. On the run, Drews early pace was encouraging, clicking off the first mile in 9:41, but his pace gradually eased in the later miles as fatigue set in over the 10K. He crossed the finish line in 2:58:57, capping off a race defined by a swim performance well above the field average and a steady, if tiring, run to close things out.
