Date: July 25, 2026 Participant: Daniel Womack #1143 Race: 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon Event: Olympic Triathlon Weather: Hot, but otherwise a great day for a triathlon.

Bike Strength Fuels a Sharp, Consistent Olympic-Distance Finish Daniel Womack crossed the line in 2:26:56, good for 56th overall and 14th in the Elite Men division at the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon. His swim leg was steady, but it was the bike where he made his move riding roughly 24.4 miles at an average of about 21.2 mph, a segment strong enough to push him into the top 20 overall at multiple checkpoints, including a 17th-place overall split late in the ride. Transitions were crisp, with T2 taking just 2:27. This result continues a strong multi-year trend at Spudman: Daniel has improved his overall time in three of the last four years, going from 2:35:20 in 2022 to a personal-best 2:21:33 in 2025. While 2026 was a few minutes off last years pace, his placement jumped significantly, reflecting a deeper, more competitive field of 1,987 finishers.
