Date: July 25, 2026 Participant: Hunter Probst #7176 Race: 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon Event: Olympic Triathlon Weather: Hot, but otherwise a great day for a triathlon.

Strong Mid-Bike Surge Fuels a Steady Endurance Effort Hunter Probst completed the Olympic-distance course in 3:12:56, moving through a 22:54 swim and quick 4:05 transition before settling into the bike leg. His bike split of 1:25:11 covered notable ground at an average of roughly 17.2 mph, but the standout moment came mid-ride: a stretch covering 2.1 miles in just 8:24 pushed him into the top 153 overall, a clear surge in power compared to his swim and early-bike positioning. After a brisk 3:27 T2, Hunter's run settled into a very consistent rhythm, with mile splits hovering between 12:30 and 13:00 per mile for most of the 6.2-mile course. That steadiness suggests solid aerobic control, though the earlier bike surge wasnt fully matched by a similar push on the run, as his overall position gradually settled to 751st by the finish. Building a bit more closing speed off the bike could help him convert strong cycling segments into stronger overall finishes.
