Age-Group Champion Powers Through Every Leg Judy Desmond claimed the top spot in the 70+ Solo Female division at the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon, finishing in 3:22:08. Her bike leg was a standout, covering the course at roughly 16.2 mph and consistently placing her among the top finishers in her division at every checkpoint along the ride. She maintained the number one position in her age group from the very first swim split all the way to the finish line, never relinquishing the lead. Compared to her previous Spudman finishes, this result reflects a shift into a new age division, and she wasted no time establishing dominance there. While her overall placement (911th of 1,987) and swim split were more modest than in prior years, her transitions were efficient, and her run leg showed strong closing speed, with a final push pace of 5:04 in the last stretch.
