Consistent Effort Yields a Solid Finish Amid a Tougher Day Ryan Beck completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 2:40:48, finishing 181st overall and 15th in the men's 40-44 division. His swim leg covered 0.86 miles in 19:48, followed by a bike segment where he averaged roughly 19.9 mph over the course, showing strong power on the back half of the ride with a 22 mph split during the middle portion. His run leg, spanning 6.21 miles, was completed at a steady 9:38/mile pace, reflecting solid endurance after the bike. Compared to his previous three Spudman appearances (2:39:47 in 2022, 2:28:27 in 2024, and 2:30:02 in 2025), this year's time was his slowest since 2022. Transition times of 4:11 and 3:16 were slightly longer than in past races, suggesting an area where Ryan could look to sharpen efficiency moving forward.
