Date: July 25, 2026 Participant: Tanner Hamilton #6100 Race: 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon Event: Olympic Triathlon Weather: Hot, but otherwise a great day for a triathlon.

A Strong Bike Leg Anchors a Solid Olympic-Distance Finish Tanner completed the Olympic-distance race in 3:13:58, highlighted by a bike leg that averaged nearly 14.6 mph across just over 24 miles. His swim was efficient, coming in just under 23 minutes for the roughly 0.86-mile stretch, and he moved through T1 in a brisk 4:22 to set up a strong ride that pushed him up more than 150 overall positions by the bike's end. The run told a story of early speed followed by a natural settle-in: Tanner opened with a 9:11/mile pace before easing to the 10:5011:40/mile range over the next several miles. A quick T2 (1:57) helped preserve momentum entering the run. Working on sustaining that opening run pace a bit longer could help him close future Olympic-distance races with more consistent splits from start to finish.
