Consistent Bike Power Fuels Another Solid Olympic Finish Brian Peterson completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 3:25:31, highlighted by a strong 1:29:40 bike leg averaging roughly 16.3 mph over the course. His swim came in at 24:12, followed by a 6:51 T1, and he closed with a 1:21:55 run and a snappy 2:55 T2 showing efficient transitions overall, especially exiting the water quickly into T2. Compared to his 2025 Spudman performance of 3:14:25, this year's time was about 11 minutes slower, with his division standing shifting from 96th to 114th in the 35-39 Male category. The bike leg remains a clear strength, consistently moving him up in the field during that segment. Focusing on tightening the swim-to-bike transition and finding a bit more consistency in run pacing could help him close the gap back toward last year's faster overall time.
