A Well-Rounded Olympic Debut Macey opened with a strong swim, covering just under a mile in 26:52, then moved through T1 in 6:20 to start the bike leg. Her cycling pace varied significantly throughout the course she hit several segments in the 4:004:27 min/mile range (nearly 14-15 mph), showing bursts of real strength, before settling into a steadier 5:205:40 min/mile pace (around 11 mph) later on. Overall, she completed the bike leg in 1:50:16, averaging roughly 13.3 mph across the full distance. After a brisk T2 (5:08), Macey carried into the run, finishing that leg in 1:19:59. Her early run splits were snappier, with a strong 4:23 mile early in the transition zone, before settling into a more moderate rhythm through the finish. She crossed the line in 3:48:33. For future races, focusing on maintaining bike pacing consistency could help smooth out overall split times.
