Strong Bike Surge Highlights a Hard-Fought Finish Angie Adams returned to Spudman for a third time, finishing the Olympic distance in 3:57:15. This result trails her breakout 2023 performance (3:00:27) and her 2024 finish (3:49:21), reflecting a gradual increase in overall time across her three appearances at this race. The bike leg told an interesting story after a moderate opening stretch in the 1214 mph range, Angie found a strong rhythm from miles 14 to 23, holding pace between 16.9 and 17.6 mph, a clear high point in her race. The swim was steady at 33:25, but the run proved to be the toughest leg, settling into a consistent low-15:00s per mile pace over the final 10K. Building run speed and finding that mid-bike gear earlier could help her recapture the pace of her 2023 result in future Spudman outings.
