Powerful Bike Leg Anchors a Steady Olympic Finish Lydia Adams completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 2:56:30, finishing 69th among 617 women and 6th in her competitive 19-24 division. Her bike leg stood out as the highlight of the day, averaging roughly 17 mph over the course, a pace that moved her into the top 200 overall at one point during the ride. Both transitions were crisp, keeping her within striking distance of the front pack early on. Compared to her previous two Spudman finishes2:34:17 in 2023 and 2:39:27 in 2024this year's time reflects a slower overall pace, with the run split showing room to rebuild consistency after a strong bike effort. Adams has now completed three Spudman Olympic races, each time finishing among the top 500 overall. Sharpening run pacing off the bike could help her recapture the sub-2:40 finishes she's shown she's capable of.
