A Strong Bike Leg Anchors a Solid Olympic Finish Shane Scoffield completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 2:51:29, placing 333rd overall out of 1,987 and 281st among men. That mark falls between his 2023 debut (3:00:18) and his sharper 2:39 finishes in 2024 and 2025, showing a slight step back from his peak pace but a clear improvement on his first Spudman outing. The bike leg was Shanes standout segment, covering roughly 24.4 miles in 1:18:32 an average of about 18.6 mph highlighted by a strong mid-ride stretch where he clocked 2:54/mile pace and briefly cracked the overall top 100. The swim (23:50) and transitions (4:17 and 2:31) were steady, while the run showed some fade over its second half before Shane closed with a sharp final kick, covering the last tenth of a mile in just 22 seconds.
