Steady Bike Power Fuels a Strong Olympic-Distance Finish Whitney Fowlks completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 3:14:05, finishing 156th among women and 29th in her 35-39 division. Her swim brought her out of the water in 22:06, followed by a quick 3:58 T1. The bike leg was the highlight of her race covering roughly 24.4 miles at an average of about 17 mph, with one standout segment reaching nearly 19 mph. A brisk 3:01 T2 kept her transition times sharp all day. On the run, Whitney showed a strong start, clicking off an 11:26 opening mile before gradually settling into a steadier rhythm through the final miles, finishing the run in 1:18:47. Compared to her 2024 Spudman finish of 3:09:27, this year's time was slightly slower, suggesting an opportunity to focus on maintaining run pace consistency in the closing miles to match her excellent bike-leg execution.
