Strong Bike Split and a Powerful Run Surge Highlight a Balanced Sprint Finish Emily Yuill completed the 2026 Spudman Sprint Triathlon in 2:43:09, finishing 426th overall and 224th among women. Her bike leg stood out, averaging just over 11.5 mph across a course with some elevation shifts, and included a strong middle segment where she climbed to 188th overall and 15th in her division a clear sign of solid power on the flatter middle miles. The run showed similar bursts of strength. During one stretch, Emily surged to 105th overall and 8th in her age group, a notable jump from her overall placement. While her swim and transition times settled her into the mid-pack early, her ability to move up during key bike and run segments points to strong pacing instincts. Continued focus on maintaining that intensity throughout entire legs rather than in bursts could help her convert these strong stretches into an even more consistent overall finish next time.
