A Strong Bike Leg Highlights a Slightly Slower Sprint Kaleb Holmstead finished the 2026 Spudman Sprint Triathlon in 1:39:25, placing 68th overall and 46th in a competitive men's field of 570. This result was about six minutes slower than his 2025 Spudman finish of 1:33:18, when he placed 62nd overall and 6th in his divisionan interesting shift worth noting as he heads into future training blocks. The bike leg stood out as a clear strength, with Kaleb averaging roughly 15.2 mph over the 11.32-mile course and climbing from 125th place after the swim to as high as 30th during the ride. That surge shows real cycling fitness. The run, however, settled into a 10:12/mile pace, and his position slipped slightly through the final miles. Sharpening run consistency off the bike could help him convert that strong cycling gain into a faster overall finish next time out.
