Age Group Champion Powers Through with a Standout Bike Leg Tess Holmstead delivered a strong all-around performance at this year's Spudman Sprint Triathlon, finishing 23rd overall out of 570 participants and 5th among all female competitors. Her results earned her the top spot in the 30-39 Female division, a testament to a well-executed race strategy across all three disciplines. The bike leg proved to be Tess's standout segment, where she averaged approximately 19 mph and moved up significantly in the standings, climbing to 27th overall and claiming the top spot in her division for that portion of the race. She carried that momentum into the run, maintaining a steady pace in the 8:30/mile range and holding her overall position to secure the division win. With a swim that saw room to build early positioning, Tess's bike and run execution highlight a well-rounded athletic performance.
