Bike Strength Anchors a Solid Olympic Debut Miles Peterson turned in a well-rounded Olympic-distance performance, highlighted by a strong bike leg where he averaged roughly 16.2 mph over the course, climbing as high as 493rd overall during the middle miles. His swim was efficient and set him up well for the ride, and his transitions were crisp, with T1 and T2 both under four and a half minutes. The run proved to be the toughest leg, with his pace settling near 10:3011:30 per mile and gradually easing over the final miles. Given the bike strength he showed, building run durability off the bike could be a great focus for future training blocks. Overall, Peterson finished in 3:08:22, placing 51st in his 25-29 division out of a large, competitive field.
