Strong Bike Power Propels a Top-5 Age Group Finish Jacob Naylor opened his Olympic-distance race with a 23:28 swim, moving efficiently through the water before heading into a standout bike leg. Covering the bike course at roughly 19.7 mph, Jacob built significant momentum, climbing steadily through the field and setting up the rest of his race well. Transitions were tidy at just over three minutes each, and Jacob carried his bike fitness into a well-executed run. His run splits show a clear negative-split pattern, starting near 7:09/mile and closing strong with sub-7:00 miles late in the race. That final surge helped him move into 58th overall out of 1,987 finishers and secure 4th place in the competitive 30-34 age divisionan excellent result built on a fast bike and a smart, escalating run effort.
