Speedy Swim Sets the Tone for a Well-Rounded Olympic Debut Jacquelle Peterson turned in a standout swim leg at Spudman, clocking 19:35 to rank 125th overall and 18th among all female athletes an excellent showing that put her near the front of the field early. She followed with a brisk 5:26 T1, keeping her momentum rolling into the bike course. On the bike, Jacquelle covered the 24.4-mile stretch in 1:48:05, averaging roughly 13.5 mph, before a quick 2:51 T2 transition. Her run leg covered 6.2 miles in 1:16:55, settling into a pace near 12:23 per mile. With her swim strength already established, targeted run-specific training could help her carry that early speed advantage all the way to the finish line in future races.
