Consistency Pays Off With a Near-Personal-Best Finish Maxwell Call crossed the line in 3:09:32, essentially matching his fastest Spudman finish to date (3:09:49 in 2024) and marking a dramatic improvement over his 2022 debut of 4:09:51. This year's result placed him 53rd in the Elite Men division and 552nd among all male finishers, continuing a steady trend of sharpening his overall performance year over year. Maxwell's bike leg was a highlight, covering the course at an average speed of roughly 16.5 mph, with standout surges like a 3:20/mile pace segment (about 18 mph) mid-ride. His swim (27:04) and run (1:07:18) legs were steady, while quick transitionsespecially a swift 1:38 T2helped keep his overall time efficient. With four Spudman finishes now under his belt, Maxwell continues to show reliable growth and a strong aptitude for the bike leg as a key strength to build on.
