Consistent Performer Continues Strong Division Showing Matthew Tenney turned in a well-rounded sprint triathlon performance, finishing 30th overall out of 570 athletes and taking 2nd in the Mens 60-69 division. His swim was a highlight, clocking 16:02 to place 27th among men and 2nd in his division exiting the water. He followed with a strong bike leg, averaging roughly 17.4 mph over the course, which moved him up to 11th in his age group before a steady 32:04 run rounded out the day. Compared to his last two Spudman sprint appearances1:29:14 in 2024 and a personal best 1:27:57 in 2025this years 1:34:33 finish was a bit slower, particularly in the run and transition segments. Still, Tenneys podium-caliber consistency in the 60-69 division remains clear, having placed either 1st or 2nd in three consecutive Spudman sprint races.
