Strong Swim Sets the Stage for a Solid Olympic-Distance Finish Nolan Wallace, 15, of Salt Lake City, delivered a standout swim leg at the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon, exiting the water in 17:44 good for 40th overall and 33rd among all male athletes, a clear highlight of his race. He carried solid momentum onto the bike course, riding at an average of roughly 17.2 mph over the 24-mile leg, holding his position in the field before transitioning into the run. The run leg saw Nolan hold a steady pace in the 9:109:25 min/mile range across the 6.2-mile course, finishing with an overall time of 3:01:12. Transition times of 10:53 (T1) and 11:04 (T2) stand out as areas where a few minutes could be trimmed with more transition-specific practice, offering a clear opportunity to sharpen his overall time in future races. Nolan finished 520th overall out of 1,987 participants and 29th in the non-competitive division.
