Swim Speed Carries Early Momentum, Run Tells the Real Story Lindsay Everhart opened her Olympic-distance day with a standout swim, finishing in 18:56 and climbing to 78th overall and 12th among womenan excellent showing that set her up well entering the bike. She maintained a strong pace on the bike leg, averaging roughly 17.1 mph over the course, holding a top-100 overall position through much of the ride before finishing the bike segment in 1:25:33. The run proved to be the toughest leg of the day. Splits show a gradual fade, with pace slipping from an 11:07 minute-mile early in the run to nearly 12:00 by the final miles, dropping her final overall placement to 571st. For Lindsay, building durability for the back half of the run could translate her swim and bike strengths into an even stronger finish next time.
